The older members of the Nightgale Pack gave me a lot of trouble back then. But Ryder stood up for me and refused to turn me down.
The elders suddenly stopped trying to get me to leave after a while. I now understand that it was because the heirs of the pack had come into being at that time.
I was the only one who didn’t know. Ryder even blocked our mind-link every time he cheated on me. How stupid of me to think I had found a loyal partner.
I packed my bags right away when I got home so I could go back to the Iceclaw pack.
Ryder lied to me. Did he really think that Luna’s title would hold me back?

Before I became Luna, I was the strongest Beta in the Iceclaw pack. My father, Edward Brown, was the Alpha of the most powerful pack in the north. As his daughter, I was just as good at running a pack as he was.
“Dad, Ryder lied to me,” I said when I called my dad. He had two pup with a different she-wolf. I want to turn him down and go back to the Iceclaw pack.
“I’ll never forgive him for this!”” Dad yelled angrily over the phone.
He told me to break the mate bond with Ryder right away and go back to the Iceclaw pack. He even sent his Beta, Jake Prescott, to get me.
The Iceclaw pack has always supported Ryder since I married him. Ryder wanted heirs, but he couldn’t give up the extra benefits I brought to his pack.
He couldn’t have it all, though!
I felt a sharp pain in my heart. Ryder’s reaction and attitude towards his betrayal hurt me like a silver dagger, making me feel terrible.
I told Jake to look into Chloe and the two pup for me.
I was surprised to learn that Ryder had set up for them to live in a human city.
I guess that’s why I never noticed anything all these years.
When I saw the results of the investigation, I was heartbroken and devastated. The pain I felt seemed to go on forever.
Ryder had been cheating on me for the whole ten years we were married, even before I found out I couldn’t get pregnant.
He lived a double life for ten years, keeping up the act. He was happy with his family while hiding everything from me at the same time.
I laughed bitterly. The pain in my heart got worse, and soon I could feel it in my lower abdomen as well. The sharp pain made me realise that something was wrong.
Ryder came back just as I was about to call.
He yelled, “Are you leaving, Zoe?” when he saw me sitting on the floor with my bags in front of me. All of this is happening because of the two pup? I’ve told you everything! The pack elders know about this too. Are you still trying to scare me by leaving?”
I couldn’t move because of the pain in my lower abdomen. I needed to get to the hospital as soon as possible.
“Take me to the hospital,” I begged in a low voice, and my face was pale.
Ryder stopped talking because my answer surprised him.
I looked up weakly and said, “First, take me to the hospital.”
He finally figured out that something was wrong and was about to come help me when his phone rang.
Ryder looked at the screen and picked up the phone right away.
