The Alpha’s Forbidden Love – Chapter 11

“The roses you planted on the castle grounds have bloomed. The lambs you helped deliver last year are all grown up. Margaret doesn’t make bread anymore now that you’re not around.

“Okay, come home with me.” “Let’s do it all over again.”

He took the Blake family emblem that I had thrown under the rose bush and humbly asked for my forgiveness.

Seeing the emblem made me think of Logan, who was 17 at the time.

“Skylar, don’t forgive him!””

His last reminder kept coming back to me.

I had to use all my strength to swat Logan’s hand away. The emblem fell to the ground and made a clanking sound as it rolled around.

“Logan, you shouldn’t forgive people who betray true love. I hope you don’t come to see me again.

Logan sounded like he was in a lot of trouble.

“Hey, Skylar, listen to me. I sent Peyton away. She won’t get in the way of us again. I’ve also sent her child to the country. “Nobody should come between us.”

I thought about whether I should laugh at how stupid he was or hate him for being so cruel.

“Logan, do you know that you’re the only one at fault? You hurt me. You didn’t have to betray me or lie to me because of Peyton! I really do have Peyton to thank for showing me your awful, disgusting personality.

Logan flinched in shame when I said something mean.

He bent over with his head down, as if something had hit him.

“I got it, Skylar. I’m sorry to bother you. “I wish you happiness.”

I was still worried that Logan would come back and bother Oliver after he left.

“Mr. Steele, we need to take you to the hospital.

Oliver smiled and rubbed his chest. “I’m fine.” Don’t be concerned about me. I am pretty strong myself.

I still felt bad because I was the one who punched him in the chest.

“I’m sorry for ruining the dinner you planned so carefully.”

He shook his head and hugged me gently. “Ms. Don’t be sorry, Allen. Every day we need dinner. Every dinner is unique in its own way. I don’t think you want to eat with me right now, anyway. Should I take you home now?”

His kind words and actions made me feel even worse. I should have stayed and eaten with him out of politeness, but I really needed to be alone to deal with my deep sadness.

“I’ll bother you, Mr. Steele.” I will throw you a welcome dinner if you ever come back to Sedona City.

With a smile, Oliver helped me get into the carriage. “I’ll be back soon.”

I lost a customer who bought white bread every day after Oliver left Sedona City. I also lost a friend I could talk to.
