The Alpha’s Forbidden Love – Chapter 4

Someone pushed the door open just as I was about to fall asleep.

I opened my eyes a little, but when I saw it was a nurse from the clinic, I quickly closed them and went back to sleep.

I was surprised when Logan suddenly stood up, grabbed the nurse, and went into a different room.

Logan paid for a fancy hospital room for me that had everything, even a few break rooms, because he was loaded.

Logan, who was younger, followed them. He came back soon, but he stood far away from me. He was too scared to get closer.

I could tell it was Peyton because she gasped when Logan pulled her away.

I asked, “What are they doing in there?”

Logan didn’t say anything.

I took the needles out of the back of my hand and got out of bed.

He was at the door, blocking my way and sounding worried. “Skylar, please don’t go. Don’t go.”

His voice changed to one of begging.

I looked at him with my red eyes and wouldn’t look away. Before finally moving aside, he looked back at me.

The two rooms were close to each other. The premium suite had great soundproofing, so all I could hear from their door were some heavy grunts and muffled talking.

“Logan, can Skylar do it like this?”

“No. She’s too weak. She can’t handle this.”

“Heh. So, do you love me more or her?”

“I love you more than her in bed; you’re such a charming temptress.”

“Ha! Mr. Blake, lie down. Nurse Peyton will give you a checkup.”

Their close and risky conversation made my heart and 17-year-old Logan’s heart hurt.

Logan, who was younger and hiding his pain, tried to cover my ears, but his hands went through my body.

“Don’t cry, Skylar.”

I shook my head and looked at the closed door. “No, I’m not crying.”

I turned away and my face was blank.

“Logan, you have a second chance.”

I stood there for a long time until older Logan finally opened the door and looked happy.

His suit was wrinkled, and there were bright lipstick stains on the collar of the shirt I chose for him.

He looked up and met my eyes with a satisfied smile. His face turned pale right away.

“Skylar, what are you doing here?”

I didn’t answer Logan. Instead, I looked at Peyton, who was standing behind him.

Her nurse’s uniform had been ripped into pieces and thrown on the floor. She only had a piece of silk left on her.

She sent me a flying kiss when our eyes met. It was meant to be a challenge.

Logan went into a panic when I didn’t say anything. He rushed over to take my hand, but I pushed him away.

“Skylar, listen to me. Things aren’t what they seem. I—”

“Enough.” I stopped him with a calm look. “I don’t want to hear it.”

His hand stopped in the air. His lips shook as if he were about to speak, but Peyton came up to me with red eyes and a sad look on his face.

“Ms. Allen, Logan and I got caught up in the heat of the moment and… It’s my fault. Just put all the blame on me-Ouch!” She begged me to stop holding my hand. I felt sick and tried to get my hand free, but she fell to the ground on her own. She held her stomach and groaned in pain.

“Logan, my stomach hurts.”
