The Alpha’s Forbidden Love – Chapter 6

Logan said that his father’s illegitimate children were trying to kill him so they could be the Blake family heir. He begged me to take him in.

He said that when he got better and came back to the Blake family, he would give me a lot of money as a thank you.

I felt sorry for him, so I didn’t think much about it and agreed to his request. I kept him in the storage room of my house and brought him food and medicine every day.

Logan stayed at my house for three years to heal from his injuries. By then, we had feelings for each other. At first, we were going to get married at the local church, but the next day a group of knights came to our village.

They knocked on doors in search of a werewolf with blonde hair.

Logan and I ran away so we wouldn’t cause trouble for the villagers.

We were on the road for 49 days and got hurt a lot of times. We also had a lot of close calls with getting caught. Each time, I would hide him and distract the bad guys.

I was so hurt in our last fight that I couldn’t get pregnant again. I thought we were going to die, but the Moon Goddess blessed us in the end.

We were eventually found by Logan’s aunt, who helped him get back to his family. In the end, he killed the two cruel illegitimate sons and took his rightful place as the head of the Blake family.

I married him, though.

Logan had suggested a human wedding ceremony, which would have introduced me to Silverton City as the wife of the Blake family leader. I would have been regal, beautiful, and not to be looked down upon.

We did go back to Silverton City for a short time five years ago. We fertilised the rose bushes where he was hiding when I found him, hoping they would grow well.

He had given me the Blake family emblem that had been passed down for generations in this century under those bushes.

He promised the Blake family that he would love no one but me. He would be my loyal knight in shining armour and would never do anything to hurt me.

He said he would keep me safe and give me a good life.

Sadly, he had forgotten those promises.

He once told me that I could use the emblem to call on the Blake family, who would take him down from power if he betrayed our love.

I wasn’t going to do that, though, because I didn’t want to see him again.

Logan, who was now a werewolf, curled up in the rose bushes with guilt and regret in his eyes. “Logan, don’t be sad.”

“Skylar, get out of here. “Never come back.”

By this time, we both knew that Logan, who was 17, had used up all three of the chances he had begged me for.

I reached out to touch him, not caring about the thorns on the roses.

I was surprised that I was able to touch him this time. It felt like I had finally gone back in time and relived the eight years we spent together.

“Don’t cry,” I said softly. “You didn’t betray me when you were 17.” I’m happy that you loved me. I’m sorry we can’t be together forever.

“Go home. Don’t follow me. I’ll be fine on my own.”

Logan, who is 17, looked at me through tears.

He said in a low voice, “Skylar, I love you.”

He smiled through his tears and said, “Skylar, don’t forgive him.”

His body slowly faded away, and the memories of the last eight years popped like bubbles and disappeared in the sunlight.
