The Alpha’s Forbidden Love – Chapter 9

Noah looked worried. “But Ms. Whittaker needs you to take care of her. Her messenger just told us that she isn’t feeling well.

Logan would have dropped everything to be with Peyton if this had happened before. Now, just hearing her name made him feel sick.

Skylar would have stayed with him if Peyton hadn’t given her that glass of rum.

“Send a few maids to take care of Peyton.” I have to look for Skylar. “Skylar, I’m worried about you. The world out there is too dangerous.” He rode away from the villa on his horse, racing towards St. Vincent Village.

He went to Skylar’s house first, but there were no signs that anyone had been there. Then he went to the rose bush where they had first met.

In five years, the bush had grown a lot. There was a plain-looking box under those twisted branches.

Logan got the box out of the bushes. When he opened it, he saw the Blake family crest inside.

The emblem stood for the Blake family’s greatness and his promise to Skylar.

Skylar probably didn’t want to get back together with him since she threw the emblem by the rose bush.

Logan yelled. He remembered how he had betrayed her. It felt like he had been stabbed in the heart, and his toxic relationship was being put on trial.

He finally remembered how nice I was to him and all the fun times we had together.

But none of that mattered much because he had lost me.

Mary Martinez, one of my aunts, got married and moved to Sedona City 20 years ago. After my parents died, Aunt Mary wrote to me and told me to stay with her.

I didn’t live with Aunt Mary because her family wasn’t doing well, and I didn’t want to add to her problems. Instead, I wrote back and told her not to worry and that I was fine.

If I had listened to Aunt Mary and lived in Sedona City, I wouldn’t have run into Logan and gotten hurt by him.

I had decided to go see Aunt Mary anyway. She was my only family, and I’m sure she’d love to meet me too.

Most importantly, Sedona City did not allow werewolves. That made it the only safe place for me.

Aunt Mary was so happy to see me. She set up a nice bed for me and introduced me to her two daughters, hoping we could become good friends.

My two cousins were excited. They invited me to afternoon tea and gave me their new dresses. Aunt Mary’s dream would come true because I got along well with both of my cousins. We baked bread, had afternoon tea, and picked wildflowers from a nearby hill to decorate our house.

I found happiness that I had lost a long time ago in Sedona City.

I used all of my savings to open a bakery in Sedona City. The chef in the castle taught me how to bake, and she was a smart, hard-working woman who loved to bake.

Her breads were soft, fluffy, and tasty. She would smile every time I told her how good they were.

I thought she would like it if more people liked her recipe.

“Ms. Please give me my usual order, Allen: a bag of white bread.

A familiar face appeared when the windchimes by the door rang. The customer was a funny man named Oliver Steele who always took off his hat when he came in.

At first, Oliver would always grab a bag of white bread and leave quickly. But once we got to know each other, he started talking to me about the weather and the culture in the area.

He said he was an aristocrat because his father was an Earl. Unfortunately, he could never inherit his father’s earldom because he wasn’t the oldest son. If his father died, he would only get a small piece of land and a lot of gold coins.

He wasn’t happy with his life as an aristocrat, so he asked his father for his share of the family money and set out on a journey.

Oliver went to the snowy mountains, where an avalanche almost buried him alive. He also went to the grasslands, where he saw a wolf and an elephant fighting. He even went deep into the jungle and saw pythons that were bigger than his waist.

He had just gotten back from sailing and wanted to stay in Sedona City for a while.

“I love the mild weather in Sedona City; it’s as warm as a lover’s hug.”

I smiled at him.

“Mr.Steele, I hope you have a good time in Sedona City .
