Twisted Vows – Chapter 1

“No, please! Not in front of our son!”

Victoria Perez sobbed and pleaded as she remained motionless, afraid to move and disturb her child, Wyatt Lewis. She did not dare to fight back.

Wyatt lay motionless on the stark white bed of the mortuary, deeply asleep and lifeless.

Victoria was pinned to the foot of the bed, while the man behind her, the one she had once loved so much, was completely destroying her.

Jayden Lewis’ cold, mocking tone broke the silence. “Victoria, this is a mortuary. You know what that means, right? It’s a place for the dead. That little brat is already gone. Even if I screw you right here, he’s not going to see anything!”

Victoria clutched the bedsheet tightly, taking sharp, shallow breaths.

Her beloved son, eyes shut, was an angel. How could Wyatt not see?

Wyatt had once told her he was a little man who would protect his mother.

How much pain would he feel if he saw his father humiliating her like this?

“Jayden, he’s your son… your son!”

“My son? Victoria, you’re confused. Five years ago, after I made sure you lost our first child, I had a vasectomy; you were never going to have my child again.”

Jayden knew he had made it clear that he would never allow Victoria to bear his child; she did not deserve it.

Victoria lay on the bed, trembling, her eyes widening as she looked at Wyatt, cold and stiff on the bed.

Victoria initially tried to put up with the humiliation and pain, but she eventually had enough.

She began to fight back with all of her strength, desperately trying to push away the man who was forcing himself into her from behind.

However, she was no match for him.

The bed shook violently due to the force.

Victoria was terrified that if she moved too much, Wyatt would fall out of bed.

She clutched the sheet even tighter. “No!” That is impossible! Jayden, you are attempting to discredit me! That is not true!”

Jayden yanked her up from the bed and turned her to face him.

Her dress, now loose, slid down, concealing the filth that had flowed down her legs; he zipped up his pants as if nothing had occurred.

“Impossible? Want me to show you the proof of my vasectomy from five years ago?”

Victoria looked at him, stunned. “How could that be? Is a man like you getting a vasectomy? Are you really willing to have no children?”

No man wants that, especially Jayden!

He sneered coldly: “You have the same filthy blood as your father.” “I would never allow someone like you to give birth to my child.”

Victoria’s entire body became cold. “My father… He ended up in a coma. Was this because of you?”

“That’s his karma,” Jayden said angrily.

“He is my only family!”” Victoria’s heart twisted in pain. “He treated you like a son! How could you? How could you do that to him?”

“Shut up!”” Jayden roared, his eyes bloodshot, as if she had struck a nerve. “Axel Perez? He got what he deserved! After what he did to my mother, it’s a miracle he’s not rotting in the deepest pit of hell.”

Victoria saw pure hatred in Jayden’s eyes.

Hatred!

Was everything he had done for vengeance?

What about the time they’d spent together? What about the love they once shared?

“You married me just to make him suffer the pain of losing me and his grandson? Was it all just to get back at him?”

She looked into his eyes and felt her own hatred grow.

“You made me lose my first child, and I thought it was just a terrible mistake. But then you took away my second child. You didn’t even spare your own son, all to avenge your mother?”

“That wasn’t my son! He was a love child!”

Jayden’s hatred grew deeper.

He had promised himself that he would never allow Victoria to give birth to his child.

But ever since she betrayed him and became pregnant with another man’s child, he has wanted nothing more than to kill her! She was just as disgusting as her father!

And now her son had died. The only thing left to do was kill her.

“My child’s a love child? What about Jane Lewis’s?”

Victoria laughed through her tears. “Jane brought that kid back from abroad. Isn’t he a love child, too? But what about you?”

She had always wished to never mention Jane again, to never discuss her child.

She pretended she didn’t know. If she didn’t say anything, it was possible that it didn’t happen.

She only wanted to live with Jayden. Jayden was her world, the one who could offer her the assistance she required.

After all, she didn’t have a mother, her father was in a coma, and she needed to care for her sick son. She was able to continue as long as Jayden was present.

She didn’t want to lose him, so she pretended to ignore any provocations or evidence that came her way.

She tried desperately, humbly, to keep the fragile peace, but it all came crashing down.

“Her child is so much better than yours,” Jayden scoffed at Victoria.

Victoria nodded, feeling like her heart had stopped. It was as if someone else was speaking for her, her own voice muffled: “Fine, I’m worthless, and so is my son.”

Victoria pushed Jayden away before turning to pick up Wyatt from the bed.

As soon as she lifted him, Jayden grabbed the child from her arms. “His illness is just like Nora’s. I need to take him for an autopsy.”

When Victoria heard the word “autopsy,” she imagined Wyatt’s body being torn apart.

She was not an old-fashioned person. She had even considered donating her body after death, allowing her organs to benefit others. She could also donate Wyatt’s body.

However, she was unable to give him to Jayden. He despised her family too much. He had no intention of respecting Wyatt’s body. And Jane? She wouldn’t, either.

They want nothing more than to mistreat Wyatt’s body!

“No!”
